Monika Chimiak

Her main area of practice is litigation in the field of industrial and intellectual property law, with a particular focus on patent and trademark law, as well as unfair competition. Her day-to-day work also includes consultancy, drafting legal opinions and contracts in these areas.
As an expert, she develops strategies for clients in cases of infringement of industrial property rights, with a particular focus on patents, including cross-border disputes.
Additionally, Monika is a European patent attorney and a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). She is the Chairperson of the Disciplinary Court of Appeal, the Unified Patent Commission and a member of the Examination Board at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. She is a member of the AIPPI and the EPI PCC Commission, as well as Secretary of the Board of the Polish Anti-Counterfeiting Association (PACA). She delivers lectures to trainee patent attorneys, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the patent attorney examination.
She has co-authored a number of publications on industrial property, including commentaries on the Industrial Property Law. Furthermore, she conducts training sessions and participates in numerous conferences on the subject.
