New legal requirements for product safety - what's in store for the beauty industry?

On 6.12.2024, Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on product safety came into force. What key regulations and obligations for the beaty industry are found in the GPSR regulation? 

Also on this day, a webinar was held entitled: ‘New legal requirements for product safety - what lies ahead for the beaty industry?’ Legal applicant Marta Trzewikowska presented the most relevant legal requirements.

During the meeting we learned more about:
▪ the key definitions of GPSR;
▪ the new obligations of actors in the supply chain for products covered by the GPSR; 
▪ the legal sale of safe products (including cosmetic products) in light of the GSPR;
▪ guidelines for the cosmetics industry resulting from the GPSR published by Cosmetics Europe; 
▪ Liability for violations of the GSPR.
