Important change in the reimbursement system!

On 22 May, the long-awaited draft of a major amendment to the Act on the reimbursement of medicines, foodstuffs for special nutritional purposes and medical devices was published on the website of the Government Legislation Centre.

The amendment, originally known as ‘SZNUR’ (quick amendment to the reimbursement act), has definitely lost its original ‘quick’ character. Today, it is primarily a detailed and wide-ranging reform that introduces over 50 changes to the reimbursement act itself and also modifies the provisions of several other acts.

The author of the publication, Katarzyna Czyzewska, writes about an important moment for the entire healthcare sector – both for pharmaceutical companies and for patients whose access to treatment may change.
