The bill of so-called Transplant Law

Due to the fact, that the standards of quality and safety specified in Directives 2015/565 and 2015/566 have to be implemented into the Polish legal system, on 28th of  February, the Polish Government adopted the amendments to the so-called Transplant Law.
The bill introduces  standards which define the principles of importing to Poland from third countries (non EU or EEA) human tissues and cells for transplantation and human use.

The amendment envisages also the use of a unique identifier for the purpose of marking of tissues and cells, distributed in the European Union, in the form of a "unitary European code ', which would contain the information on their main features and characteristics. This change is intended to allow direct examination of the journey made by the organ from a donor to a recipient.
