An advertisement of a drug cannot refer to high mortality – MPI decision
Main Pharmaceutical Inspector (MPI) considered that the phrase: “[…] in the second month, vaccinate your child against pneumococcal - the most common cause of death of young children in the world, which can be prevented by vaccines” used in advertisement, is unlawful.
According to MPI, this communicate violates the article 55 par. 2 point 3a of the Pharmaceutical Law, according to which, an advertisement of a drug cannot refer to therapeutic indications in inadequate, appalling or misleading form.
