The Commission authorised another health claims
On 31 May 2016, the Commission published Regulation (EU) 2016/854 authorising certain health claims made on foods, other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children's development and health and amending Regulation (EU) No 432/2012:
• “Consumption of foods/drinks containing instead of fermentable carbohydrates contributes to the maintenance of tooth mineralisation.”;
• “Consumption of foods/drinks containing instead of sugars induces a lower blood glucose rise after their consumption compared to sugar-containing foods/drinks.” The Regulation shall enter into force on 20 June 2016 r.
