Amendments to the „Oncological package”

The Ministry of Health proposed amendments to the Act on healthcare services financed from the public funds, with respect to the „Oncological package”.
Proposed amendments are aimed at simplification of the reporting in respect of keeping waiting lists in case of services provided on the basis of the Oncological Diagnosis and Treatment Card (“ODT Card”). There are also proposals to simplify the ODT Card and make the circumstances under which it may be issued more flexible.

Moreover, according to the bill, Minister of Health will be entitled to establish guidelines on oncological treatment principles and prepare measures for assessment of diagnosis and treatment process.
