Pharmacy will be allowed to return medicines to wholesale in case of change of an official price
The Polish parliament started works on civil bill amending the Reimbursement Act. Legislative proposal assumes, that in case of amending the reimbursement decision or official price of a medicine specified in that decision, pharmacy will be allowed to return such medicine to wholesale, even if the medicine had been purchased before the amendment came into force. Likewise, the wholesale will be entitled to return the medicine to an entity, which filed the application for reimbursement. The proposal will affect medicines, as well as foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional use and medical devices being subject to reimbursement.
The proposal assumes also that in the aforementioned situation, it shall be allowed to correct invoices without a physical return of medicines.
Polish Government support a proposal of making it possible to return medicines in case of amending reimbursement decision, but disagree with an idea to enable correcting invoices without physical return of medicines.
At the moment, the bill is proceeded by the parliamentary Health Commission.
