Since May, new rules concerning Internet pharmacies.
On 3 April 2015, the new Regulation of the Minister of Health of 26 March 2015 on distance selling of medicinal products was announced. It will enter into force within 30 days from the date of its publication - on 3 May 2015.
Previous regulation providing rules on online selling of drugs expired at the entry into force of the amendment to the Pharmaceutical Law dated 8 February 2015.
The Regulation sets out the conditions for online selling of OTC drugs, means of delivering drugs to customers, conditions to be met by pharmacy premises or a drugstore conducting online selling of drugs, a period of storage of documentation concerning online selling of drugs and a minimum amount of information which has to be posted on websites of pharmacies.
In accordance with the Regulation, an entity running the Internet pharmacy will be obliged, among others, to post on a website, where medicinal products are offered for online selling, information such as: contact details of the competent voivodship pharmaceutical inspectorate, clearly visible common logo for all Internet pharmacies and referral to the National Register of Permits On Conducting The Pharmacies, Drugstores and the Registry of Approvals for Conducting Hospital and Company Pharmacies.
